cockroach attack
Can anyone please tell why there are insects in my car? To be more specific, cockroaches!!!!!Aaarghhhh.. Luckily, anak lipas kalau bapak dia ke, mak dia ke? Arrrghhhhhh.... To say that my Lovemobile is flooded with food leftovers ke, no no that is not the case because I didnt leave any trails of food behind. This really is a major, super-humongous problem because I am a cockroach-phobic. Tikus is ok. Cicak is ok. Mentibang pun still boleh consider lagi laa. But lipas??? Big No-No. It all started back when I was still a small kid, maybe about 3 or 4 years old when we were living with my late grandma'. There was this old TV set in the living room. According to my mom, I loved to mess around with the TV buttons. Main tukar2 channel ah, main volume dia, bukak-tutup TV uzur tu. My late grandma' of course lah ferikaut, scared tht the old TV would go kaput because of her (very cute and smart) granddaughter. Sooo..taking matters in her own hand (before my late grandma' ferikaut), my mom killed a big, fat, juicy cockroach AND hanged it on the TV (and followed by her frequent efforts to scare me "Haaa..jgn dekat, ada monster tu...eeeee"). Confirm lah budak kecik akan phobia kan? From that day onwards, I didnt dare mess around with the TV and even if I managed to come close to the TV, I'd never dared to touch the TV, all because of the scary little 6-legged creature. And people, that is the story of how I got scared of cockroaches.
So how now? I just killed the 3rd anak lipas this morning, found crawling on my dashboard. If there is going to be the 4th one, I will surely ferikaut okk.....
Help!!!
P/S: Is there any possiblity that these cockroaches are "living" in my car? Dalam engine ke ekzos ke? Or mana2 celah yg boleh derang membiak? Possible keeeee? Aaaah ferikaut nyeeeeeeeeeee!!

working on a Saturday..
..not that i have never done it before. if all the Saturdays that i worked on were counted (like as part of OTs ke kan), confirm dah lama boleh pegi trip ke Oz tu. Heheh.. Anyways, this wasnt an ordinary voluntary work that i normally did to catch up on stuff but it was an official duty at PWTC. Career Fair. Yups. Where all the uni leavers came and asked about the company i worked at. "Kak,ada keja kosong tak?", "Company u amik org lulusan apa ye?", "apa vacancy yg ada?" and the list goes on.. It was all very very interesting. Because I get to deal directly with people who had high hopes to get in the company. We had a few tables on that day where we, as the Screening Team Advisor, acquired one table each and would entertain one visitor at a time. Visitors handed their CVs in to us, we skimmed through to make sure they met our requirements (yes the requirements were getting tougher n tougher) and asked questions if we needed clarification. So in a way it was like a mini-interview (but it wasnt, really) and the visitors were assuming that we were having one because of the setups. Memang muka budak2 yg datang tu nerbes semacam. Kesihan mereka. Padahal bukan interview pun. But i guess I'd feel the same way too if i were in their shoes. Out-of-uni fresh grads hunting for their first jobs. It made me feel grateful that I was bonded to work with this company. Hehe. Among the CVs that i went through, i found quite a number of students who, you know, didnt really scored well for their CGPAs (ke GPAs?) esp for non-tech qualifications, tapi muka2 mereka..penoh harapan. Tak sampai ati nak cakap, "dik, score adek tak meet our requirementlah. Maaf ye.." Serious x sampai hati.
Lesson learnt: Study hard. Eventhough you hated the course & you were there because your parents made you do so. Because even if there were other crucial skills that'd matter more when you started working, the cold, hard prints of your result would actually be an important point that'd filter you against the thousands of graduates who were also looking for their first jobs. Just my personal point of view :) Lagi pulak, budak2 zaman sekarang dah la makin pandai. SPM pun dah bole dapat berbelas2 A. Nak compete dgn experienced people lagi. Peeghh.. Challenging. I met some very intersting people on that today as well :) Like my friends from Petrosains- Faiz and Laila. Heheh.. I miss you guys. Nanti kita lepak2 ok? And there was this uber cool tudung-wearing Indonesian chick. She studied some science program in France!!! Waaah.. And her English, sangat sangat ber-accent yg aku rasa sexy nyeee..Hehe.. Very interesting indeed. (Naseb baik this chick tak ala2 rupa Rossa dgn rambut super hot and lense ijau ke kan..Kalau x confirm aku akan ter stare dia lama gile.Hahaha..Gile!) But she was amazingly very chic and composed. Mungkin dia used to be in one of those expensive, trendy boarding school kat Switzerland ke kan? Hehe.Assumption2.
Oh lupa. Malaysia's 2nd angkasawan was there as well! One of the VIPs on that day. Managed to snap a pic with him. I must say he was very2 friendly. Like, when were approaching him (when he was waiting for his food for lunch) to take a picture, he said hi to us first, smiled and got up frm the table and siap carikan spot nak amik gambar yg cun. "rasanya kite amik gamba kat sini la sbb tak membelakang kan sunlight, nnt gamba x jadi pulak" Comel kan? Hehe..

the hard-workers for the day
