ulat buku

Yes I am a bookworm. I like to read. Ok besides funky wedges and sexy stilettos, I do invest profoundly in books. Still don’t believe it? I know you know that I religiously read Female and the likes of them vanity mags but I do fancy real books. I have the whole Sidney Sheldon collection. Not forgetting Judith McNaught for her creativity in romance-writing. Oh I love all of Sheldon’s books. Genius. I can reread his books over and over again…which I have done countless of times. Ngeee.. my first Sheldon book was Windmill of the Gods which I borrowed from a friend of mine back in high school. It was a hard-cover. So bayangkan, ke hulu, ke hilir usung buku besar dan berat itu. But I like hard-covers. Walaupun gabak but tahan lasak. And tulisan dia besar2.. I like!I also love, love, loove all the Harry Potter books. Well, what can I say. I adore stories of adventures full of myth, fantasy and magic. When these are combined into one, it’s awesome beyond imagination. Like the movie, Stardust, I can watch it over and over again. Remember the famous lines in the movie? “..My heart... It feels like my chest can barely contain it. Like it's trying to escape because it doesn't belong to me anymore. It belongs to you. And if you wanted it, I'd wish for nothing in exchange - no gifts. No goods. No demonstrations of devotion. Nothing but knowing you loved me too. Just your heart, in exchange for mine.” Aaah.. Feel like watching it again this weekend. I don't know why I enjoy stories with elements of political conspiracies, thriller, action, murders and mysteries. Hence, that explains why I would have easily selected "Da Vincci Code","Vantage Point","Die Hard 4" over any chick flicks for both movies and the books. A few weeks back I bought James Rollins' Judas Strain. Oooo I love every bit of the storyline. My peneman setia while I was on the komuter back to Rawang. It was really good that the whole 45 mins journey didnt feel as bad as how it looks (with the countless pendatang, most of them busuk & pervets - I didnt mean to generalize but they are!!)

this explains how I spent my Sundays - a good book, and Nini (cokelat celup..celup, celup, celup..hahaha) And that was my father's Harakah (also part of my reading material)

He didn’t really layan Harry Potter but sweet enough to give me the book - “The half-Blood Prince”. That was his first book for me. And I foresee there will be more to come. Hehehe.. just the other day, he wanted to give me something, a present before he left for the far-far away land. (And I thought presents are only for certain joyful occasions or big festive celebrations). That’s him, being sweet and thoughtful as always. At first, I thought I am gonna get stuff like shoes or maybe something from Benefits. Since lately I have been talking a lot about how nice it’d be if I have comfy shoes when I’m running to catch the komuter. Like the wedges from Crocs maybe. But they are not here yet so I was just talking pointlessly at that time. And I am just plain crazy about Benefits. Surprise, surprise… we ended up at Kinokuniya and he told me to choose any one of my favourite book. Yeay!!! I’m gonna get a book rupa2 nya. Weeee.. I really am looking forward to get a new book since I have finished reading the last one that I bought. So there I was, like a kid in a candy store trying very hard to decide on which lucky book I’d pick. I wanted to get Harry Potter’s Deathly Hollows but I already found its pdf verdion on the net (save $$$. Ka-ching!!). Baik amik buku lain ye tak… the process of deciding, reading the synopsis, judging the covers and weighing the author’s ranking did take some time. Since I am such a sucker for thriller, conspiracies and mysteries (hence the Sidney Sheldon’s collection) so in the end I chose Matthew Reilly’s The 6 Sacred Stones.

tadaaaaa!! My new Sunday's project. Can't hardly wait :)

I am thinking of buying like a new cupboard or new funky rack for my books. Because at this moment I have 2 overflowing items in my room - shoes & books. I surveyed Ikea and they do have a few nice ones. But not sure on the size since my room wasnt tht big. Hmmm...

serabut & bersepah

Malaysia is going through an interesting political phase. Serabut mungkin? As the end result is yet to be known, I must say it is pretty scary at this moment. Let's just hope whatever happens in the end is for the good of all of us.
Moving on to lighter note, I need (READ: am desperate) to clean up, rearrange and revamp my cubicle. I can get sick just by looking at it. Too many files on the table. Too many papers. Too many post-it-notes. Too many, too many.. I miss the times when I used to own a cool bedroom back in the OZ days where I decorated it in style (READ: fun with many cute/crazy and creative artsy stuff on the wall plus a corner for my aroma theraphy things plus books and flowers). Sigh. Dahla ada built-in wardrobe okkkkk..Anddd not forgetting a bathtub! And also a swimming pool which will be heated during winter. Owh rindu nya! Anyhow, my cube is swamped and I need a major overhaul. And it's not helping la kan that some makcikens yg suka menyibuk suruh aku kemas tempat aku tuh. Huh. As usual, like they have nothing better to do. My cube is all primp and proper okkkk before this hectic schedule started to take over my life. Takpe2. Lepas aku kemas, siap kau makcikens!

my untidy cube

the unwanted view of the files but wanted for the sake of work

very very unattractive..ewgh

ya ampun.. gile bersepah

guess what are being spread out on the floor underneath my cube?

....my lovelies!!
I might have to go the office and do some spring-cleaning this weekend. Maybe baby. Hmmm......

viva la vida
Apart from the political turmoil, crazy increase in petrol price, erratic weather, and annoying bosses/colleagues, please listen to Coldplay's latest album. Worth every worry, stress or trouble that you're currently facing.

Let's get high on good music :)
