saturday's thrills & spills

i am still under heavy sedation of my fever, flu and cough meds. But nevertheless...I am very excited to tell you what i've been up to today.

As it is the wedding season, I went to a kenduri with my family, like what I have been doing for the past 1 month. It was all nice and pretty and very pink. Food was marvellous.Siap interview the caterer, for the purpose of my own research. Aaaanddddd next....Ok here comes the highlight of my day.. off I went to The Curve with Mr.Man. Ada gig yay, ada gig yay!!!

Okla actually it wasnt really a gig lah. A friend of a friend of a friend of a friend of Mr.Man is a renowned photographer. He was having this exhibit for his artwork where a number of his photographers friends came to take snapshots of interesting happenings of the day. So i guess, the mini show where Mr.Man was supposed to perform, was sort of a selingan for the crowd that came by today.Dahla kitorg sampai sejam lambat.Definitely not fashionably late.Memang lambat gile.Sampai2, org dah ramai.Ingat sikit je..sekali tu adala dlm 30+ ppl. Whoaaa.. Mr.Man of course, nerve-wreck abes, as this was the first time ever he played the drums in front of THAT many people.Ramai okkkk. When the time came, it turned out to be awesooomeeeeeeee!! *loud applause* As an amateur drummer who only practised on Rockband, I think the outcome was pretty well-done.Bangga I tau.Tihihihih... The band performed 3 songs by Oasis, "Live Forever", "Some Might Say" and "Don't Look Back in Anger". Nice choice. Maka I, of course, secara otomatik menjadi camera/video girl.Menggigil jugaklah tangan nak maintain blackberry tu dari bergegar while they played 3 songs consecutively.

All in all, I think it was a very good experience. I have been wanting to see him performed live since forever. Finally, dapat jugak. Not as a guitarist though.Next time you main lah gitar pulak. Please please pleaseee.. Hehehe.. Since ramai betul photographers yg dtg, agak segan lah jugak I dok snap2 gambar and record the performance pakai phone je.Orang lain semua slr tahap bazooka with all the super canggih lenses.Ehemmm..Mr.Man, mungkin kita (awak) perlu mempunyai/membeli camera juga? >_<

After that we head straight to Dome for coffee and some snacks, sambil meng-review all the pics and the videos of his debut performance itu. Festive betul The Curve nih, as always.Never fail to amuse me. Several restaurants were celebrating Halloween.Complete with the deco of pumpkins, hantu2 gantung, spider webs and jack-o-lanterns.Macam rumah hantu.Yang meriah :D Oh and there were some workers of Tony Roma's dressing up as Freddie Kruger and that scary guy dalam Halloween tu. Sambil lari2 kejar2 takutkan orang ramai.Hahah..Best!! But I guess Halloween Celebration here wasnt as big as the ones in the west. Kids wearing costumes (scary or not) and going from house to house, trick-or-treating sambil collect candies. Or pumpkin carving macam ni?It sure looked fun!!!

Oh lupa, the piccas. Enjoysss and Happy Halloween lovelies!

happy friday? urghh..not for me!!

while other people were busy packing to rush back home, I was straining my eyes, staring at my pc, tgh terkemut2 nak siapkan kerja2. Apa citerrrrr niiiiiii?!?!? Orang lain sibuk2 nak balik.Even my super workaholic bosses have happily made their way home. Aku jugak laaaa yg terkulat2 depan pc ni haa sambil kelaparan teramat sebab sejuk gile babs skrg nii. Thank God Mr.Man was still online. I told him we were beginning to turn into dull adults. All work and no play. I told him we better make the best out of this coming weekend by doing only fun stuff and indulge in wuteva adventures that came to his mind. (His mind sebab ceq malas laa nk pk2.Ceq ikot sajaa noo..) Memang sah2 la dia tak dpt feel wht I was feeling now. Tgh in happy/nervous mode esok dpt perform in a, shall i say, mini gig? Eceeeehhh... You knw I dig rockstars. Hihihihi..(Gedikkk) He was pretty nervous actually. But happy at the same time.Nervous because tiba2 kene jadi drummer pulak. Fes time tu nak main depan audience. Mungking takde la ramai mana. But still.... If it was me, dah lama lari nyorok blakang langsir. Ok experience masa main Rockband berjam2 totally tak kire hokeh. Mr.Man is actually a guitarist. He plays the guitar. Ok I wanted to bagi pujian berbakul2 to him for being good at slammin' on his guitar and all.Tapi karang korang muak pulakkk. But I think he is good at what he's doing lah. Ok compliments end here. Anywayssss...He was starting to take interest in drums recently. Did I actually inspire you Mr.Man? (referring to baaaaack in the old days when I could play the drums.Tapi sekarang all the skills have gone rusty. T_T) Hahahaha.. Dah nak start taking formal classes dah pun. I am so proud of you :D. Oh good luck tomorrow k. U nak I buat and bawak banner untuk u tak esok? Hehehehe...

i am a book person

I remember the first time I got hold of my first Sidney Sheldon's book. I was 14 at that time. It was Windmills of the Gods and I think it was my classmate's.Rina.If i remember her name correctly. I read it passionately as it was very much intriguing. Conspiracy theory, murder, political agendas, suspense and full of unexpected twists. Oh my. I just love it. From there on, Sidney Sheldon has become my favourite author. I would try to get my hands on Sidney Sheldon's every chance I got. My second novel came not long after that. Bloodline. Beli kat Macro (sekarang dah xde).I was begging my mom for it, considering it was a bit pricey at that time. Heh. I think Rina was probably the most cool, book-loving person that I've ever known. She introduced me to the great world of Sidney Sheldon. She was also one of the first ppl I know in high school, who possesed comic collection like Slam Dunk and G.T.O. And of course later on, got me hooked on all of them. She was my resource back then.Hehe. Remember Sailor Moon? Wira2 comel bersanggul menentang penjahat. I was willing to ride on my mountain bike, naik bukit, to get them from this particular medai mamak in Gombak. And oohh..Remaja Psikometer! My absolute favourite. I have every single edition in my collection. Now, they are neatly tucked in my cupboard where my little sister would read them at any opportunity that she got.Sampai dah lunyai. Last weekend, I got myself a copy of Sidney Sheldon's Master of the Game. A reprint I believe as it was being well promoted on the recommended shelf.Together with its sequel.Mistress of The Game. But of a different author, as the great Sidney Sheldon has passed away. I finished it in 3 days.Baca tanpa henti. Now I could hardly wait to buy its sequel.Though not frm the later Mr. Sheldon, but I hope it'd turn out great. Mr.Man, would you buy it for me please? Pretty please....

an attempt to update
my Friday morning was peaceful and serene. Mana taknya. Everybody went off for a meeting. I could do my work leisurely at my own pace. Tralalalala... But, at approximately 11.45, the serenity might wear off because of the proejct update meeting. Benci. This would also cause a slight delay of my lunch date with my girlfriends. Benci tauuuu. Ape cerite nak drag2 meeting sampai ke lunch time kan? Pergila masjid awal sket semayang jumaat. I dont know lah..I always wanted my Fridays to be happy since they are the ultimate kick-off to the weekends. But unfortunately, lotsa uneventful things happened on my favourite day.

weekend rendezvous

Friday
Its a helluva Friday! The time I usually get ready for work, I was still soundly sleeping. The time I was usually in my car driving to work, yawning & fighting to stay awake on the road, I was still..well..sleeping.Teheee..The time I was usually at the office already, turning on my pc and start checking my emails, I was waking up lazily....To flaky roti canai and maggi goreng, mamak style. Ah what a bliss. The privilege to not do anything, just being a lazy-bum all day long was priceless. I think the only hard labour that I did on that day was tidying up my own bed :p (and start updating this blog back).. Oh andddd.. a mini reunion/BBQ at Bob's (under the starry2 light) later that evening totally wrapped up my Friday. Met with some of my dear STF friends, did some catching up, reminiscing the good old days or rather; gossiping like there was not gonna be tomorrow. Seriously, memang tak cukup masa and tak puas okk. We should do this again.

Saturday

Waking up lazily, still :). As what has been happening the past several weekends, it was makan2 time again at open houses, weddings and more open houses. The agenda that day was to go to Mr.Man's high school friend's wedding, an engagement cum open house of a friend (also, a high school friend of Mr.Man) and finaally...To have dinner, somewhere special where we've never been to. The engagement thingy was really fun. Ok I know most people would have described ceremonies like this as sweet and romantic and all things pretty. Oh maybe we only got there a bit later for the makan2 thingy and didnt have the chance to see the whole process of engagement. But seriously...It was loads of fun. Gile la rakan2 Mr.Man. In a good way of course. Heh..The bride-to-be looked stunning :).I loooove the photo-taking session. So meriah. And funny.

Thank God it's Friday!!!!!
It's my favourite day of the week and it's a day off! It has been a while since I had a happy Friday.Usually my Fridays were filled with stressful project update meetings , people(or rather; this particular somebody) who'd come up to my cubicle and drove me crazy till I had no time to finish up my work and I ended up bringing back home my work for the weekend.
Today started off well. I forced my mom to teman me have breakfast, mamak-style. I ordered 2 roti canai garing, and 1 of them, banjir for my mom. Sekali tu mamak tu pegi banjir kan dua2. Well, had no choice but to fonish them all up. By the time we finished, I saw a lot of families there, most of them with their kids. Cuti sekolah kan. Lucky buggers. I remember when I was their age, my mom wouldnt let me have roti canai for breakfast.Unhealthy, katanya. Breakfast was always milk and bread with jam. Or hot milo. Jgn harap dpt roti canai2 ni. Weekend pun, my mom would cook breakfast for us. "Lagi bersih, makan kat luar tu kotor tau tak.Mak nak anak2 makan benda2 yg elok".. That was her answer when I kept bugging her to let me have roti canai or mintak duit belanje sekolah lebih sket because I wanted to have that nasi lauk ayam merah kat kantin sekolah. My school canteen had 2 type of food price. One was the cheap nasi lemak, mee goreng or nasik goreng which cost around 50cents-70cents kooott.Didnt really remember. The type that school kids woulld normally buy.The other type was at the higher end.Hehe.. Around singgit lebih or 2 hinggit kot. Kire mahal la time tu for a primary school kid. I remebered bringing my bekal almost everyday to school. Pastu bila nak makan time recess, segan2 sebab rasa tak cool lah makan bekal kan.Orang lain beli je.Hehehe.. But I guess what my mom said is true. The habit of bawak bekal still remains until now. Funny thing is, sometimes I could easily get diarrhea if I eat out, at places yg ala2 x menjaga kebersihan sgt. Seriously. My stomach must have get used to home-cooking I guess.
As tomorrow is Deepavali, Auntie Malar, my indian neighbour invited the whole family to her makan2 thingy tomorrow. Yeay! I just looooove this festive season.Good food is easily accesible :) I'll be going to Bob's bbq-mini-reunion tonight. Cant hardly wait. I know I'll be seeing a lot my high school friends whom I havent seen for ages. Rinddduuuuuu!!
See you lovelies tonight!

The resurrection
It is hard to resume a hobby once it has been long neglected. Like blogging. Hello, my dear blog. But i promise myself to start back on writing, as i do miss it. i miss venting out. I miss letting out all of my feelings and emotions. just to express all of them out there, baring it all, give some kinda satisfaction to me. Working life does consume a LOT of my time and energy. It sucks up all the fun in my life and if i dont start doing something about it now, I'll be dull and soon vanish into thin air. But this is a start. Will post up a complete entry tomorrow. Watch this space.

Pantas dan Garang 4

The rule is when watching this type of movie, we have to set our minds not to focus much on the storyline/plot, the dialogues or even the acting. Movies like this were made to blow our minds away with their high-octane action scenes. The modified cars roaring at unbelievingly high speed and smashing into things that stand their way. The massive explosions. The drivers maintaining their calmness despite the chaos (gila ah..lagi few inches je nak crash into the lori tangki minyak yg tgh terbakar. Tapi muka maintain ketat.Heh). All these were pure adrenaline. I love love love it. Despite the acting & plot, this movie is much better than the 2nd & 3rd one. Especially the 3rd. That Tokyo Drift movie. Urgh. What were they thinking, having a Texan-accent-speaking lead character? No offend against the Texan accent. It’s just that it didn’t go well with the character who drove fast cars, participated in illegal drag-racing, involved in Yakuza and then later on, stole the Yakuza’s Leader’s hot girlfriend. I jst didn’t get it. Like, sgt tak melambangkan the rogue elements in that character. Oh well, at least audience could enjoy the view of numerous number of hot & skimpy-clad Japanese girls. Anyhow, back to my POV on Pantas & Garang 4. Vin Diesel is Vin Diesel lah kan. With that botak & tight-fitting white t-shirt image. Yummy. But I wish he could show more emotions & and was given more lines. Oklah maybe the plot is like that. I like the part where he was describing Letty played by Michelle Rodriguez (his dead but hot gf) to that hot but too-skinny right-woman of that drug cartel.

Vin Diesel: It starts with the eyes. She's gotta have those kind of eyes that can look right through the bullshit, to the good in someone. 20% angel, 80% devil. Down to earth. Ain't afraid to get a little engine grease under her fingernails.

The girl: That doesn't sound anything like me.
Vin Diesel: It ain't.

Aahhh… a baddie, but with a soft heart when it comes to the woman that he loves so much. *cair*

And Michelle Rodriguez is one hot woman!!! She still looks hot even in the scenes involving the bone-breaking stunts. And owh I just found out that the girl of the drug cartel is actually a former Ms.Israel. oh patutla. Exotic but still, too skinny.

I watched this with Mr.Man and we both agreed that this sequel is better than Tokyo Drift. Seriously, the crash, the explosions and all the stunts memang heart-stopping. Go watch this if you need something to pump up your heart and especially if you’re an adrenaline junkie like me.

c h a n g e

Lots have been happening in my life and also at work. Changes are everywhere. And some of them are scary I must say. Lately I have been feeling uninspired about my work. The opportunities are there. The environment is new. The people are definitely different. And hopefully interesting. As I am now surrounded by a vast male population with male co-workers, male bosses & male big boss, this is definitely a good change lah kan. After all these years being stuck in an all-female surrounding, who could forget the makciks2 who were always there, ever-willingly trying to find opportunities to stick their nose in my business. So yeah, this change being in a totally different environment, people-wise and work area-wise hopefully would bring some meaning to my working life. But, I am not feeling it lah the past week. I have a cool male boss who asks me if I have this latest Malay song and who prefers to lepak2 at Pelita after work for a bonding session. Tapi kenapa aku rasa bosan niiiii? The fact that he was KINDA good-looking pun tidak membantu utk aku be inspired. What the heck is wrong with me maaan? Yes, maybe I need that holiday in Damai Laut.

Fashion has always been one of the biggest influences on me. I like fashion. I like discovering ways of pulling off a top that most people wouldn’t dare to wear. I like hunting for cheap or discounted and quirky stuff but when put together, the result is unbelievably amazing. I like being unique. I like being creative in styling myself or choosing my clothes. That was me when I was in Brisbane. Now, I have become boring. I don’t know how I have turned from a person who is adventurous in fashion into this boring, plain and inexpressive human being. This is not me. I think the working life taken its toll on me. Oh nooo… Darn it. I think I need help.
I think I wanna start a fashion blog. Probably one which sells clothes & accesories. But with the current economic situation, I just don't think it's really wise. I browsed through some blogs and webbies and found a lot of interesting people who sell interesting clothes & accessories online. Best gileeeee..... I wonder if they have day-jobs like me. I bought one new top online too while browsing. Hehe.
On a happier note, my long-time girlfriend has just got married on 14th March. Congratulations Huda & Hatta! It really was a defining moment seeing you walking down the aisle (well, in her case, it'd be more of berarak from the gate to the meja makan beradap. Siap ada tol lagi. Org Johor lah katakan..Hehe). It was an honour to be your maid of honour on the biggest day of your life. I enjoyed every moment (of wiping away your sweats for being under the hot sun and fussing over your melting makeup) of it.

Speaking of hot & sweaty, I went to Jason Mraz's concert the other day with Mr.Man. I was ecstatic. Not really a big fan of The Geek in The Pink. But I must say that I do enjoy most of his songs. Lagipun, yours truly appreciates a guy with a guitar who sings. So I was really looking forward to this concerto. My expectation was more or less met :) Cuma x tahan asal panas gila nak mati rasa cam kene letak dalam sauna yg berhimpit2.Seriously man. That was one major turn-off gak ah.It was not like this during Dewa. Or even Muse, a friend of mine commented. Naseb baik lah Jason ala2 kelakar + witty & entertaining on stage. Bolehla layan tepuk2 tangan sambil enjoy the songs padahal rasa hampir nak ter-suffocated time tu. Thanks Mr.Man.You're my rock.

Me and Mynn, our important person for the road trip to Kulai for Huda's wedding. Without your car & your immaculate driving skills, we'll never arrive on time. Hehehe..

the magical land below the wind

sending my kisses and hugs all the way from KK, Sabah!!! The experience while I was here was incredible. It was a total rollercoaster ride. I arrived in KK, feeling a bit angry and sad because of something, then I was a bit ok..Lately, i was bogged down with a lot of things that made me worried. Dgn being a newbie in the dept lagi.Haihh.. But then I went back being emotionally wrecked and utterly depressed. Bayangkan, tgh gunting2 name tag, tiba2 aku ter "hujan" depan my colleague. Panik dia tiba2. Hehe.. But I am definitely going back to KL floating in the air feeling happy hoping to fall down and cushioned by the sweet memories. Eceeh... Aku berjaya happy! Weehuu! Here's why:

with a lovely colleague of mine, Ms. Aya. She looks like a typical Sabahan but actually a pure Nogori-an. Best shopping ngan dia kat Pasar Filipino. Dapat extra discounts. She could easily pull off a Sabahan accent. Hehe..

Our group went downtown to a fishing village to have dinner. The seafood was great! I wasnt a big fan of seafood, but the food was good. Then there were some cultural dances, performed by some good-looking dancers. Yummy. And owh, I was selected by the yummy looking dancer to join the tarian buluh. Yeay! ...for being invited on stage by that yummy-looking dancer NOT for the dancing part. Fobia kaki kena kepit dgn buluh2 tu. But it was a hell of experience lah. All in the name of fun. Amboi2 mr.boss, suka dia snap gamba2 anak2 buah dia terkinja2 sambil cuba mengelak kaki dikepit buluh. Hahah.. Tapi dia apa kurang nya. Siap menyumpit lagi tuuuuu. Ahahahah... Fortunately the baloon burst. You certainly held our dept's honour in great intact mr.boss. Hahah.. Let's see the some of the unique food that we had:

Sea Cucumber or better known as gamat. Eeeew yucks! Serious camne aku leh x perasan mende alah ni masa pilih menu kat KL tht day. It reminds me of some juicy maggots lah. But....the taste wasnt that bad ok. Macam sotong2 sket. But still....

Soft crab shell goreng tepung. My favourite!!!!!! I felt like tapau-ing some back but malu la se-meja with mr.boss..

our entrees. gempak x? Seriously humungous okkk lobster ituuuu..

a failed attempt to capture the pic of tht yummy Pahlawan Iban

Our night of fun didnt end there. Once we reached the hotel, i bumped into my friend and we headed off to Rumba, the hotel's bar. Mr.boss saw us coming in there. Esok harus dia tanya apa bisnes aku masuk situ. Aku nak jawab networking, boleh? There was a band playing, whom were friends with my friend and they played well i must say. They were just about to start playing Creep when we entered. AAAaaaAAAaaaa.. Lagu kesokaan ku! The suara was sedap. The music was just so good. After they finished playing, they came up to us and chatted for a few good minutes. Siap amik group pic lagi. Boleh? Hahah..

the band. beautiful people, all of them

close-up of the Filipino. Eheh..

It was a nice wrap-up of my trip to KK this time around. My eyes are clean and so is my wallet. Hehe.. Rabu sudah kena masuk ofis baah.. I'll be missing KK so much that's for sure. Dont wanna work on Wednesday, can aah?

cockroach attack
Can anyone please tell why there are insects in my car? To be more specific, cockroaches!!!!!Aaarghhhh.. Luckily, anak lipas kalau bapak dia ke, mak dia ke? Arrrghhhhhh.... To say that my Lovemobile is flooded with food leftovers ke, no no that is not the case because I didnt leave any trails of food behind. This really is a major, super-humongous problem because I am a cockroach-phobic. Tikus is ok. Cicak is ok. Mentibang pun still boleh consider lagi laa. But lipas??? Big No-No. It all started back when I was still a small kid, maybe about 3 or 4 years old when we were living with my late grandma'. There was this old TV set in the living room. According to my mom, I loved to mess around with the TV buttons. Main tukar2 channel ah, main volume dia, bukak-tutup TV uzur tu. My late grandma' of course lah ferikaut, scared tht the old TV would go kaput because of her (very cute and smart) granddaughter. Sooo..taking matters in her own hand (before my late grandma' ferikaut), my mom killed a big, fat, juicy cockroach AND hanged it on the TV (and followed by her frequent efforts to scare me "Haaa..jgn dekat, ada monster tu...eeeee"). Confirm lah budak kecik akan phobia kan? From that day onwards, I didnt dare mess around with the TV and even if I managed to come close to the TV, I'd never dared to touch the TV, all because of the scary little 6-legged creature. And people, that is the story of how I got scared of cockroaches.
So how now? I just killed the 3rd anak lipas this morning, found crawling on my dashboard. If there is going to be the 4th one, I will surely ferikaut okk.....
Help!!!
P/S: Is there any possiblity that these cockroaches are "living" in my car? Dalam engine ke ekzos ke? Or mana2 celah yg boleh derang membiak? Possible keeeee? Aaaah ferikaut nyeeeeeeeeeee!!

working on a Saturday..
..not that i have never done it before. if all the Saturdays that i worked on were counted (like as part of OTs ke kan), confirm dah lama boleh pegi trip ke Oz tu. Heheh.. Anyways, this wasnt an ordinary voluntary work that i normally did to catch up on stuff but it was an official duty at PWTC. Career Fair. Yups. Where all the uni leavers came and asked about the company i worked at. "Kak,ada keja kosong tak?", "Company u amik org lulusan apa ye?", "apa vacancy yg ada?" and the list goes on.. It was all very very interesting. Because I get to deal directly with people who had high hopes to get in the company. We had a few tables on that day where we, as the Screening Team Advisor, acquired one table each and would entertain one visitor at a time. Visitors handed their CVs in to us, we skimmed through to make sure they met our requirements (yes the requirements were getting tougher n tougher) and asked questions if we needed clarification. So in a way it was like a mini-interview (but it wasnt, really) and the visitors were assuming that we were having one because of the setups. Memang muka budak2 yg datang tu nerbes semacam. Kesihan mereka. Padahal bukan interview pun. But i guess I'd feel the same way too if i were in their shoes. Out-of-uni fresh grads hunting for their first jobs. It made me feel grateful that I was bonded to work with this company. Hehe. Among the CVs that i went through, i found quite a number of students who, you know, didnt really scored well for their CGPAs (ke GPAs?) esp for non-tech qualifications, tapi muka2 mereka..penoh harapan. Tak sampai ati nak cakap, "dik, score adek tak meet our requirementlah. Maaf ye.." Serious x sampai hati.
Lesson learnt: Study hard. Eventhough you hated the course & you were there because your parents made you do so. Because even if there were other crucial skills that'd matter more when you started working, the cold, hard prints of your result would actually be an important point that'd filter you against the thousands of graduates who were also looking for their first jobs. Just my personal point of view :) Lagi pulak, budak2 zaman sekarang dah la makin pandai. SPM pun dah bole dapat berbelas2 A. Nak compete dgn experienced people lagi. Peeghh.. Challenging. I met some very intersting people on that today as well :) Like my friends from Petrosains- Faiz and Laila. Heheh.. I miss you guys. Nanti kita lepak2 ok? And there was this uber cool tudung-wearing Indonesian chick. She studied some science program in France!!! Waaah.. And her English, sangat sangat ber-accent yg aku rasa sexy nyeee..Hehe.. Very interesting indeed. (Naseb baik this chick tak ala2 rupa Rossa dgn rambut super hot and lense ijau ke kan..Kalau x confirm aku akan ter stare dia lama gile.Hahaha..Gile!) But she was amazingly very chic and composed. Mungkin dia used to be in one of those expensive, trendy boarding school kat Switzerland ke kan? Hehe.Assumption2.
Oh lupa. Malaysia's 2nd angkasawan was there as well! One of the VIPs on that day. Managed to snap a pic with him. I must say he was very2 friendly. Like, when were approaching him (when he was waiting for his food for lunch) to take a picture, he said hi to us first, smiled and got up frm the table and siap carikan spot nak amik gambar yg cun. "rasanya kite amik gamba kat sini la sbb tak membelakang kan sunlight, nnt gamba x jadi pulak" Comel kan? Hehe..

throbbing head

nyut nyut nyut... if I could practically hear my own head throbbing, that was how it would sound like. it was really loud. it must have been the weather. it was raining quite heavily outside plus i kinda had a heavy lunch just now. relevan kah? it was really a long looooong day today. everything just seemed to be moving really slow. the big boss didnt even call me to her office which she did (almost) on hourly basis... amazing.... i had a training in Bangi on Monday. As the training was about a revised process from my dept so my colleague and i went as a co-faci. (read: a messenger who is shot directly without getting the chance to protect herself). Oh yes..it was a tough audience. Being quite new in this area, we were really digging our own graves lah kan when we both decided to go - just the 2 of us. Was it just the culture here; giving negative criticism just for the fun of bringing down other people in front of others? Or it would boil down to the individuals at the end of the day? Nak kata tak berpelajaran, dah pangkat Manager dah.. Nak kata muda - hot young bloods tend to be more aggressive, umur dah tua dah & tgk rambut pun dah beruban.. I simply dont understand lah. What we introduced was meant to ease the burden off their ugly backs as dulu2, it was all done manually (sampai juling2 mata nak skim through ratusan CV one by one, sbg contoh.. Now with just a few simple clicks, tadaaa.. It could all be finished in flashes of flash. We were working our pretty asses off to improve the process which at the end of the day, would help them to produce better and faster results. We do welcome feedbacks for improvement. But it really is hard to generate a fruitful discussion with them if they have planted negative thoughts in their minds even before they tried to use the system. Kolot lah mereka. And sangat typical Malays. Hohh..

On a lighter note, a walk down the memory lane....

Spot me if you can!!! Sapa berjaya, dapat hadiah..

This picture was taken..let me see.. about 13 years ago?.. hehehe.. Gila old school.. Those are all "the clan" lah back in those days.. I miss having Chinese friends around.. Believe it or not, I used to speak Malay in Chinese slang ok, complete with "hoh", "meh","aaar","waaaiii..", "eee-yeee.." (untuk express something that you are disgusted about. Dapat bayangkan x?).

Example 1: "Teacher, teacher.. Can go to toilet aaar?"

Example 2: "Waah.. So bad one.. But why is it like that meh?"

At first I didnt notice it and I thought it was normal until I went to an all-girls' boarding school where the total population was made up with Malays.

So, people..Spot me!

perhaps,perhaps,perhaps

have u ever felt so down and low that all these feelings started to bottle up, and burst into a massive pang of hatred. i think it just happened to me today. an incident happened. initially i was really sad and down and all. i even mourned for it for the past 3 days. but after doing all i could and what i could but unfortunately not getting even a single gesture of appreciation, & acknowledgement, i started to think that maybe...just maybe...somebody was having fun watching me tortured and emotionally strained. that sadness that i felt somehow has changed slowly and dangerously into anger. angry that why lah im putting all these effort but yet, i was treated like an invisible person. and this, mistah, has made you the lowliest of the human beings.

it is so much easier to get through the day & face the world when you are angry rather than being sad.

*yes, yes, i am being a bit emo today.dah lama tak ber-emo dlm blog ini bukan?*

of cupcakes, baking and raya...after the super-long hiatus

L-R: I managed to bake these cuppies! It's vanilla cupcakes. Rupanya mungkin sedikit cacat but mind you, your taste buds' satisfaction is 100% guaranteed (And has practically been proven too. Cecececece..). The after-results. Tempting tak? tempting taaaakk??? (Sila jawap "ya".) The last picture is the picture of Bakin' Boys' cupcakes which triggers my inspiration to do pretty decorations as well. Tapi kene prektis lagi lah.... Lepas nih, birthday korang aku bagi cupcake saje la okeh.. hehe..

Kenapa gambar di pagi raya ini harus diberi pujian? : Sebab tangan fotografer (yakni saya) menggigil tahan ketaq (Penang's version of menggeletar. Yes, I'm learning the Penang slang. And it's one of my challenging language class. But way better than my Arabic class (dulu2) just because takde ustazah yg nak conteng2 tudung kalau marah. Hahah. And my Penang slang's teacher is better-looking & charming. Eceee..Yes, go figure who.Hihihi..) Eventho ala2 self-pic, but I managed to capture everybody inside. Tapi Nasya muka separuh lah pulak..

We did all these cookies from 11am until 6am the next day. We only slept after Subuh. Memang gila ok. We should really get our promotion because of this.

L-R: Ini biskut kepingan jagung bersalut cokelat (or Choc Cornflakes that i mentioned tadi.Malay cook books have all these strange direct translation for the cookies. Kenapa lah susah2 nak translate satu2? Dari 2 suku kata, tgk dah jadik 4 perkataan ok. Sungguh tidak menjimatkan ruang buku). The 2nd pic is the Anzac cookies :) Aaap nyap nyap nyap.

Gambar ini tiada kene mengena dgn tajuk. This picture is used to decorate my whole floor during our Merdeka celebration. The other staff also had their picture taken holding the mini black board saying: "Kejayaan bagi saya adalah..." Eh kejap. Kenapa gambar ini di letakkan? Owh ye. I love what the effects did on my complexion/look.Hehe. I looked presentable.
Sekian percubaan untuk mengemas kini blog saya.

being random on : Ramadhan & Crocs

i absolutely have no idea or the motivation to write. aku malas.m-a-l-a-s. it could be my never-stop-piling work. my mrs.evil boss was transferred elsewhere leaving me all alone, having to do my own work AND hers as well. dah xde manager. terpaksalah cover.i dont mind the workload so much. BUT the part where i have to to the extra thinking, solving never-ending issues, and making decisions, part tu aku x gemar okkk.owh, when will the new manager be coming in? if i do hv one, ringan sket beban otak aku ni haa.dahla my work is very very operational, pastu i have to do the manager's part of thinking. looking from the positive side, yes this somewhat trains me lah kan in building my capabilities(ceewaahh..) BUT the downside is, boleh nervous breakdown kot. Patutla boss aku dulu selalu sakit and she has all these high-blood pressure lah, migrain lah. Ok scary. I dont wanna be like her!

Ooookay, moving onnn...it's Ramadahan!! Yeay! Like everyone else, i am very2 excited. dulu kecik2, i kinda dislike the fasting month and always looking forward to its end and then of course Raya. I still remember curi2 minum milo ais dlm toilet masa secondary skul. Before tht, kene pegi beli milo ais bungkus kat kantin. Konon2 ckp ngn makcik kantin tu nak buat buka la. Hahahaha..Macam lah makcik tu xtau kaaan..... Ape kes nak beli milo ais pukul 5 nak buat buka kan. Kecik lagi, nak tipu pun tak pandai. hahahahah... Well, to me at that time, it's all about the hype of Raya - getting new baju raya, duit raya, main bunga api, makan best2, pegi jumpa kazen2 and main bunga api lagi. But now I secretly wish for Ramadhan to never end. People seem to be more at peace, less rushing (at the office lah, tapi bile sampai je time balik, masing2 mcm nk marathon turun lif pegi parking), less bitchy (for the mackcikens) and boss pun x push nk deadline sgt (at least to me lah and for now..). And i look forward to break fast at home every day. Which has made my mom very happy, and in return, everyone is happy as well. I cant wait to buka puasa this weekend with Itah (my younger sist, who is going back frm Uniten, Muadzam), Aiman (my younger bro, who has been coming back every weekend frm Shah Alam) and of course Nasya and my parents. Finally, one big happy family! Own I can already imagine what my mom is gonna cook for us! Aaaah bliss. Susah nak explain perasaan buka dgn family laa.. Owh sungguh best. Not that I dont like eating out with friends but time2 bulan pose nih, tapi lagi best buka kat rumah lah. Relax pun relax. x yah susah2 nak rush tau.

And finally Ramadhan is also the most awaited month since we are gonna get the long-awaited-but-we-deserved reward!!!! Ka-ching!!!I have some big plans with it. Firstly, clear kan all my credit card debts. Then, bayar hutang Savvy. Theeen... I'm gonna get myself a lappietoppa!! Weehu! That will be the day when I'll be dragging him (lovingly :p) to the famous Techno + Gadget Alley and purchase one super super cool lappietoppa. And then after tht, of course lah menge-set up kan Internet at home. After the long wait, i'll make sure it is all worth it. It's time for this blog to be updated daily - weeee! Lain2, of course lah saving. But i osso have some stuff that i wanna buy. I need to pamper myself jugak. Ye tak. I am thinking of getting a pair of Crocs' wedges. Selesa sket nak berlari ke parking lot tu. Or berebut2 naik komuter..

his Crocs. the one with the leather tu is very nice. tht made me itched to get my own Crocs..

the new wedges collection! though it's not something tht i'd normally wear (just look at my shoes collection ok, all are stilletos and minimun 3-inches heels & wedges. Hey, a girl just needs height, esp short ones like me) but they're super comfy!

this is THE Crocs that i want!

What do you think?
